I am a Psychology Graduate and have worked in mental health for over 10 years, working in domestic abuse, self-harm, and suicide. I have seen the devastating effects these experiences can have on an individual, their family and their community. I have also seen shame and silence perpetuated around these experiences.
I have been part of the SF journey from the beginning, from collaborations to supporting those in need and this is why I boarded the SF team to make a difference. It is important for me to be part of Sikh Forgiveness to challenge the stigma and help people to understand that they are not alone, and where they can get help. I have worked with many communities and being from the South Asian community I want to use my voice to help others find theirs.
